Placing players in the right environment for development.

Team Selection is a structured process designed to place players into the most balanced and appropriate teams for their development during the upcoming season.

This process helps coaches form teams that are competitive, supportive, and aligned with each player’s current ability and growth needs.

WHO IT’S FOR….

  • Under 14s and below Age Groups

  • Boys and girls

  • Players looking to join the Balwyn Blazers and existing players.

  • Participating in team selection does not automatically register you into the club

    IS IT MANDATORY?

    Team Selection is not mandatory, however it is strongly recommended for players who want to give themselves the best opportunity to be placed in the most suitable team for their development.

    Players who do not attend will still be placed in a team, but attendance provides coaches with clearer insight when forming balanced teams.

TIMING & LOGISTICS

  • When: TBC

  • Age Groups: U14s and below age groups

  • Venues, dates, and times:
    👉To be released after Round 10 of the current Season

At Balwyn Blazers Basketball Club, team selection is about long-term development, not labels or rankings.

The goal is simple:
Put players in the best environment to grow, learn, and enjoy their basketball.
